I have heard about the problems at National,Alpha,Alpine . But what about other manufactureres like Gulfstream , Coachman , Thor , how are they making out ?

My wife and I stayed there last September for a week. Campground was nice but we had a problem with dogs running around in the campground. This situation may have been taken care of but at the time they didn't enforce their rule regarding keeping your dogs on a leash. Complained to the office but didn't get much in the way of a response

Mount Airy , NC
My wife and I were thinking about traveling to Mount Airy on vacation . Is there enough to do and see in this area to spend a week there? Also what are the campgrounds like , any good ones?

There has been no damage (that I know of) it's just they don't seem to cool the motorhome down like I think they should . The units are twelve years old

When I opened the drain valve water started coming out ,then the pump came on and I had water to the rest of the coach.

Water pump problem
I started having problems with my on board water pump and it has me a little perplexed. The pump started working intermittently , I thought it was the pressure switch going bad so I decided that I would just go ahead and replace the whole pump and be done with it. Replaced the pump and it is still acting up . I was not getting any water so I went down below and found that the pump wasn't running , while I was down there I opened the tank dump valve to see what would happen. The pump suddenly came on and started working... I thought about it for a while and started wondering if maybe the water filters were clogged up so I removed both cartridges and turned the pump back on --- nothing. I turned the tank dump valve on and the pump kicked on again.
I am at a loss as to what to try next , does anyone have any ideas???

When I checked with VDO they had three or four differnt ranges to choose from

When the ignition is off the gauge is on empty . As soon as I turn the key on it goes up to full.
What they had me do was take a wire off of the sending unit on top of the fuel tank, when I did that the gauge dropped to empty

Fuel gauge
Does anyone out there know how to determine how many ohms your fuel gauge is?
My fuel gauge reads full all of the time ,I called tech support at Monaco and they had me try several things and came to the conclusion that the gauge was bad. I asked them were I could get another one and they told me that I could buy one from anyone who sells VDO gauges.I look them up online and see that there a number of different ohm ranges to choose from . So I call Monaco back and they tell me that they don't know what ohm range I need ( motorhomes is a 96)
Any help would be appreciated.

RE: How will economy affect RV sales?
MY wife and I went to the Tampa Rv Supershow this past weekend. I noticed that there were not as many "sold" signs on units this year as compared to last year. The show started on Wednesday and we always go on Saturdays , usually by then you'd see quite a few rigs with a sold sign stuck in the window , but not this year.
